The woman who returned Lady Gaga’s dogs, Koji & Gustav, after they were stolen in 2021 is suing the singer for not paying her the $500,000 reward she claims she promised.
It all started back in February 2021 when 2 of Gaga’s French Bulldogs were stolen during a robbery in which Gaga’s dog walker Ryan Fischer was shot and severely wounded by one of the suspects as he took the dogs out for a walk.
In April 2021, five suspects associated with the robbery got arrested including Jennifer McBride, who eventually returned the dogs. After McBride returned Koji and Gustav, the LAPD discovered that she had a relationship with the father of one of the men arrested for the robbery and kidnapping of the dogs. McBride was arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting attempted murder and in December 2022 she pleaded guilty but did deny she was receiving stolen property. She was sentenced to two years of probation as reported on LA Times. James Howard Jackson, whom the police identified as the main culprit in the robbery, the attempted murder and the abduction of the dogs – was sentenced to 21 years in prison.
Long story short, In 2021 Lady Gaga offered a “no questions asked” half a million dollars reward to anyone who return her dogs. McBride returned with the stolen dogs without getting paid for it which is insane, I mean how much audacity do you need to have in order to demand money for bringing back the dogs that you assisted to steal? only Hollywood can bring you this type of weird shit like this one, and sure, the economy is in bad shape with all the inflation and all that shit, but being a thief is one thing, but being a total dumb in addition is the worst combination, and if you steal from the riches and they claim to reward the finder with a substantial cash prize, you should know there’s a good chance that it’s a bait, and besides this, even if you return the dogs, this still doesn’t make you the finder. You’re still the thief! I can’t wrap around my mind how can you even imagine being paid for stealing someone’s dogs, and even if the dogs’ owner’s name is Lady Gaga! I mean she’s not that stupid, and who knows, maybe she would reward the finder exactly as she promised if it was a legit person who actually found or rescued her dogs but I highly doubt it as well.
Bottom line is, Mcbride is suing her and I don’t think she’s gonna get a dime out of it, and she can yell and whine all about being misled and how she was hoping to finally stable her life financially because she was counting and relying on Gaga’s promise, but that’s not gonna help her, as a matter of a fact, she could make easy money by simply selling them to someone for very good money and run away, In theory of course…
