Watching all the white-dressed Heat fans cheering for their team thinking they won the series after Smart’s missed 3-pointer shot without bothering to follow what happened next when Derrick White took off to pick that offensive rebound and send this match up to game 7 and seeing them looking at each other wondering if this game too, just like the previous 2 just slipped away once again, and yes, I felt a bit sorry for the Heat fans, but way happier for my team.
I’,m pretty much out of words right now but this time it’s for all the good reasons. For just the 4th time in NBA history, a team down 0-3 has forced a Game 7. In typical Celtics fashion, they achieved it by ripping our hearts out. Going up by 10 with 4 minutes to go, only to miss a billion shots around the rim and foul. The Heat cut the lead just like they always do in clutch time. Watching that 10-point lead dwindle and still seeing all that time left was such a deflating feeling. Then Jaylen and Smart missed some late FTs and I really started to get nervous. Then Jimmy Butler made a 3 PM and I REALLY started to get nervous.
I still don’t get how in the freaking world did Duncan Robinson miss those two clean looks. With the way, the Heat were shooting in this game? Impossible. And yet, he did.
This looks like nothing short of a miracle, and sure we got ourselves a heck of a team with our leading trio in the league but still, sometimes miracles happen to those who deserve it.
What a series!
Now what the Celtics need to do is capitalize this miracle and reward it by making history cuz I hate seeing a miracle goes to waste.
