After wiping the floor with the Lakers last night with an impressive sweep and overall a mind-blowing season, the Nuggets earned their historical appearance in the NBA final series.
The man of the hour last night along with Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon was obviously Nikola Jokic with 30 pts, and sure he was the go-to guy who played the most minutes but we can’t overlook the complete dominance and consistency of the Serbian, especially since 2019 when started to pick up the pace and scoring no less than 20 points per season in average.
Sure he’s been an MVP before but this time it just feels different, the flow of his game and along with improving so many aspects in his game like rebounds, assists, and FG percentage (63.2%) and against the Heat for the title this year, the Nuggets couldn’t ask for a better opportunity to take the trophy back to Denver.
Make no mistake, The Joker isn’t the only card the Nuggets use and unlike other teams that mostly labeled thanks to their superstars, this team projects the ultimate definition of what a basketball team should be let alone having a kick-ass coach like Michael Malone who won’t any crap from anyone who trashes his player like what they said about Jokic being drafted during a Taco Bell commercial. Nikola Jokic was out of shape and expected to be just another one on the bench. Instead, he’s the best player in the NBA right now. Sure Embiid won MVP, that’s great but the bottom line is the best player in the league right now is Nikola Jokic.Â
