After draft picking Cj Stroud, the Houston Texans are going strong to be the team they wanna be by Trading up nine spots to select Alabama pass-rusher Will Anderson Jr with the No. 3 overall pick.
After seeing so many people give Texans GM Nick Caserio a hard time for keeping it safe by going by the book and playing conservatively and I personally never thought that he would have the guts to make the pick at No. 2, and then trade up to third overall and pick their best defensive player available.
Some people would say that this all happened due to a number of things. first, the Jack Easterby’s ouster, DeMeco Ryans’ arrival, but if you ask me, I couldn’t give a rat’s ass what led the Texans executive grow a pair for the first time in a while.
Anyways, they got themselves some vital players on both ends of the field. An offensive and defensive prospects who are considered the top coveted players in the draft so that’s one hell of a haul for Houston.
The way the Texans pulled it off was quite impressive because it takes two to tango and the fact that Anderson and Stroud will collaborate can put the Texans in a position to break through a better moment in the upcoming season after going through so much shit as I mentioned before. They snapped out from under the Deshaun Watson fiasco, and with the new head coach DeMeco Ryans now they have a legitimate ray of hope for the first time since before Bill O’Brien decided to take over GM duties in addition to coaching.
