Kyrie Irving Has Moved to Dallas In A Trade With The Brooklyn Nets

The biggest trade of the year in the NBA. Just days after requesting a trade, Kyrie Irving has just been traded for Dorian Finney-Smith, Spencer Dinwiddie, a first-round pick and second-round picks to the Mavericks today (Sunday) by the Nets.

You know what that means once your name is Kyrie Irving and you join Luka Doncic…

Huge mistake by Dallas, as they should have gone for a big forward/center rather than a guard.

Having Doncic share minutes and ball possession with Irving won’t do much for Luka. Irving’s ego just might cause quite a few problems and I just can’t picture two dominant players completing each other offensively. You know, Finney Smith and Dinwiddie both did an excellent job this year and it’s a shame to get rid of two such quality squad players just to get a player and a clearly unpredictable person who can easily destroy an entire team’s chemistry.

Don’t get me wrong, this case is far from being the beef Irving had with LeBron back in the day in Cleveland where he couldn’t stand playing alongside him especially when we’re talking about Luka who for a fact has a better personality than Lebron, but I guess we’re just gonna sit and wait for their first game together to see how that combination works.

Having said that, that still makes the Mavericks the No. 1 contender for the title as two of the five All-Star players will join forces. Dallas is currently 6th with a 26:28 record, while Irving himself scored 27.1 points with 6.3 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game.

KD Is the only star the Nets got now just a year after Durant played alongside Irving and James Harden. Now he’s gonna join forces with Spencer Dinwiddie, who played for the Nets before, plus Dorian Finney-Smith. Dinwiddie scored 17.7 points with 5.3 assists this season, while Finney Smith holds 9.1 pts on average.
